Worst case scenario is the heads warped and/or blew a head gasket (which you can verify by checking the dipstick). If it sat for awhile and your oil level is very high its because theres water settled in it the bottom of the oil pan. If it ran recently there will be milky chocolaty looking oil/coolant mixture. Best case scenario, you caught it overheating before any major damage could take place and you only need to replace the T stat, belts, and PS pump. BTW, as mentioned by Cjw, the timing belt is way further inside the engine, if you can see that hanging down then someone in the ghetto hotel parking lot borrow a lot of your parts.
